Pros

The offices are great. Decent career opportunities if you join the right team at the right time, + people are constantly leaving, so positions open up.

Cons

Pre-IPO, Unity was 5/5 with a fantastic culture, but it's been downhill since then. Most top talent that made Unity successful have left or been forced out. A lot of floaters with 0 passion are left. Compensation is not competitive. Values are just for show. Lack of expertise and knowledge in middle management. More managers than actual people who can execute. Meetings-to-have-more-meetings culture. Minimum of one re-org per year, and employees don't get a say in where they end up. More processes than action. Lack of investment in employee retention or growth.

Pros

-Flexible WFH environment -Decent work life balance and good benefits for the US based employees

Cons

-CEO and CFO insist on being based in New York, when the Company is based in SF. Earnings calls are at 5:30am because screw you West Coast. -CFO will stop at nothing until all the G&A, Accounting, Tax, and, Finance team members are located in Bangalore in an effort to cut costs. Offshoring is massive here and will only continue to expand. -Constant anxiety about layoffs. Sometimes they announce mass layoffs, but more often do it in smaller waves so as to not rattle the cage. -Top heavy org structure. There's probably as many or more SVP, VPs, Sr. Dir level folks as there are individual contributors/leads.
