Pros

Big player in gaming industry. People are generally very friendly.

Cons

Sooner or later, one will realize that working hard at Unity will bring nothing in return. You will get a few "good job" and "you're awesome" from your peers and manager but it will translate to *zilch* in financial reward. Unity is a transitory point for many software engineers. You join and mayyyy be get to work on a cool-sounding project. But, working here for more than a year is a grave and career-ending mistake. Most stick around till their stock vest and move on to more rewarding opportunities. The ones that stay for longer are either too rusty to look for another job or one of the early employees with millionaire-making stock package.

Pros

-Flexible WFH environment -Decent work life balance and good benefits for the US based employees

Cons

-CEO and CFO insist on being based in New York, when the Company is based in SF. Earnings calls are at 5:30am because screw you West Coast. -CFO will stop at nothing until all the G&A, Accounting, Tax, and, Finance team members are located in Bangalore in an effort to cut costs. Offshoring is massive here and will only continue to expand. -Constant anxiety about layoffs. Sometimes they announce mass layoffs, but more often do it in smaller waves so as to not rattle the cage. -Top heavy org structure. There's probably as many or more SVP, VPs, Sr. Dir level folks as there are individual contributors/leads.
