Cons
CME is a "grant", not compensation that you earn like EVERY other employer, so your incompetent supervisor can take it away at any time. Speaking of incompetent supervisors--know the adage "those who can't do, teach"? Well that applies at UHG. Those who can't practice, become supervisors. We all had those classmates in NP school; everyone could tell they would be dangerous to pts if they managed to pass boards, and you kept track of where they went to practice so you could warn your friends and family not to ever see them in clinic--yeah those kind of NPs. That's who UHG puts in charge of other NPs. If you want to be condescended to and micromanaged by pedantic morons who for some reason are responsible for your job security, by all means, apply. If you want to be respected as an educated professional and left alone to do your job? Steer clear.
