If you like to work at home, this is the place for you. Siemens Enterprise Communications has shut down all but a few of its offices and sent everyone to work from home. The work time if very flexible.
Cons
SEN is owned by a private equity group that is relentless about cutting costs. The 401K is gone, the pension is gone, the health care benefits have been reduced. When the 4th of July fell on a weekend, we did not get a paid holiday! The environment is extremely political with senior execs lasting usually less than a year. The product portfolio is a mess with reduntant products, buggy software, and poor usability. There is no clear strategy other than continue to reduce costs (read lay off more people) until the company can be sold.
