Pros

- many coworkers are warm and friendly - good work/life balance and flexible hours - fun company-wide social events - range of initiatives and projects to get involved in - good benefits (networking, vacation & wellness budgets)

Cons

- growing pains with business growth and leadership changes that impact the original principles the company was founded on - promotions are hard to come by and decided from preferential treatment instead of quality of work and performance - company vision and strategy is in a transformation period that leads to vagueness and setbacks - not good for long term career development since favoritism comes into play, it has little to do with not being able to move quickly - lack of diversity in many leadership positions specially the senior level - microaggressions towards bipoc when company prides itself for an inclusive, diverse culture - employee retention is part of the company’s priorities and it doesn’t look like anything is being done to solve some of the organizational issues or improve the talent turnover to date, indicating they are not as people-first as they claim to be - low compensation compared to other comparable tech companies in vancouver

Pros

Great management team, positive and ultra competent crew, amazing new digs (not open space galore), willingness to constantly improve, genuine desire for work/life balance... the list goes on and on... It really is just the best place to work in Van.

Cons

Self-introspecting, exploring and experimenting are all necessary in a growing company, but also have downsides in the form of unclear directions and wasted efforts.
