Pros

I work when I want to and take the assignments that interest me. When I have a question or concern, it is answered immediately, politely and with respect by Upper Management. I learn something new every single day, so I'm doing what I love (writing and researching) while obtaining further education. It seems a win/win to me, so far. Work is as an independent contractor, not statutory employee. Being able to establish an anonymous relationship with a client and have the client return as a repeat customer is both lucrative and rewarding.

Cons

I would like to see the company expand to be able to actually hire employees in whatever state they live. Bonuses for writers who consistently perform well and meet or exceed standards would be nice.

Thank you so much for your positive review of our company. Our best writers are those who love to research and write, and you seem to be a perfect match! We love to hear the pros, but also appreciate the cons. We are continually changing, in order to stay abreast of the market and current trends. Often, the best way to do that internally, is by listening to what our employees and contractors have to say. It is interesting that you mention “word of mouth” to be the best form of advertisement, as that is how we started in the first place! Expanding the number of states we are in is certainly something on both our short and long term lists. Laws are strict, and getting different states set up is very costly. This is the main reason that we only have a limited number of states at the moment. On a business end, it isn't worth it to pay thousands of dollars and set up a number of states, when we do not have any employees working there. We would much rather move those funds toward avenues that will allow the business grow, and keep our current employees fulfilled. However, we are looking at expanding to more states. First, we need to work out the most efficient way to see which states are the most beneficial for the company. For example, we need to know that we have skilled writers willing and able to perform in the employee function, before we open that state up. Once we have the list of most beneficial states, we can move forward through the proper routes, regarding laws and compliance, and bring on more valuable staff members. Long term, it is very likely that we will have employees in most states, as our continual growth never ceases to amaze us. Please feel free to send an email to HR to discuss this further. You may be the next person on our list. =)
