Pros

The general team members are great and what make it great to work at Kagool. The Greenfield projects were generally more interesting. Some staff get sent on training.

Cons

No say in what project you get put on, even to the point of it looking like certain more reliable members were nearly always put on the more tedious legacy projects. If you perform well you are generally rewarded with being assigned as someone who rescues projects, while nice to be needed it generally means more stress and longer hours, time which I or anyone else was given back ever while I worked there. Too much politics for my liking, promotions given to the wrong people at times leading to resentment in the teams. No time for progression or self improvement. No headphones Weird clothing rule about no shorts, but skirts and dresses are fine.. not sure if they realised how sexist that is. Very negative attitude towards the staff that hand in their notice, from not inviting you to meetings to simply acting like you aren't there already

Thanks for the feedback, taking the time to share your thoughts is really appreciated! We're really happy that you valued your fellow Kagoolies and that you found it makes Kagool a great place to work. Picking up on some of the feedback - We are winning more and more greenfield work with the growth of the business. Many customers have traditionally been inherited from poor agencies but we always aim to turn them into exciting ones and this is increasingly the case - We try and ensure all teams get a variety of clients and work. In the case that a team member would like to change or seek challenges in other teams we welcome everyone to put that view or request forward as we will accommodate wherever possible - Work-life balance is constantly fed back as one of the most positive aspects of working at Kagool. Certainly, we try and ensure work is planned well and achievable in a working day. Sometimes a bit more effort is required but we try and ensure this doesn’t happen often and we are always keen to give flexibility back where we can - We don’t think we are a heavy rule-based company and regret you felt that way. Our processes help keep everyone on the same page. We know perhaps headphones are more standard than not but we think it promotes the good communication and the approachability of everyone in the team. We make sure there are quiet spaces for the time you need to get your “head down”. We are clear about this on anyone joining the company to make sure it isn’t an issue. In terms of shorts, members of staff were wearing shorts during the recent hot weather - Training and development – everyone one of our team is currently on plan or due to have training as part of this calendar year - Leavers – we have to be a bit more careful on what we share to leavers on notice as many go to competitors. This is pretty standard in the industry but we do value everyone till the last day. Thanks again for your feedback and we will be sure to consider as part of our on-going efforts to make Kagool a great place to work!

Pros

Unbelievably supportive and fantastic work environment. I worked with some of the nicest people I have ever met and greatly enjoyed my job. Employees socialize together and really get to know each other so it is a family-feel. A lot of companies talk about being a family but Kagool is one of those rare places where they actually practice it. Lot of opportunities for professional development.

Cons

None that I could see.

Pros

UNRVLD is a grown up agency with an amazing client roster, some super smart people both across the business and in the management team and a very flexible hybrid working policy (the best I have experienced). I would describe it as overall a very balanced agency - it's ambitious without putting growth at all costs, gives all the advantages of working in an agency environment (fast paced/variety and lots of autonomy) whilst providing a supportive working environment that is true to its promise of respecting work life balance. The senior management team is approachable and actively involved in both client and employee relationships and I feel confident that if I raise any issues or escalate any client concerns these will be responded to. Almost a year in I remain really happy with my choice to have joined UNRVLD.

Cons

Not a con per se but something I have had to get used to is that as a true multi location agency with offices in different locations you won't necessarily find yourself based out of the same home office as the team you work with. In my case the project team I work with is geographically dispersed so we rarely get to interact face to face. UNRVLD has facilitated an overnight team meeting (which was great) but the multi-locale set up has been a new experience for me.
