Pros

The benefits are good. They cover 100% of premiums for medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents. We will find out what the new benefits look like post-merger in the next few weeks, so we will see if the level of coverage changes. We have unlimited PTO, although most people come back with work piled up so you don't really feel like you can take time off. 45% match on 401K.

Cons

If you are in GD, please post a review, too. I want to hear some glimmer of hope that it is not as bad in your team, but if you have a negative experience like me, join me and make your voice heard. Global Delivery is dangerously short-staffed. I want to make it clear that this issue has existed for a couple of years, so this doesn't have anything to do with the merger or new leaders in the department. With that said, we also haven't seen the situation improve after the merger. Senior execs tell us to take care of ourselves and focus on our family, but it is all lip service. No actions are taken. Headcount requests and backfills seem to be pending always. If you know your team is drowning and has been asking for help for years, hire more PERMANENT people. Partners are only expensive band-aids. Wasn't this merger supposed to create 3000 jobs? Managers are not empowered. I know they try to do more for their teams, but they don't have any power to make a difference. They are the people senior execs can dump more work on, and this sadly does not make any individual contributor want to advance into leadership. I am also worried our managers are asked to do too much and will begin to jump ship. Good people keep leaving and it creates more stress for those who are still in the team. When someone leaves, their projects are reassigned to the rest of us. The base salary isn't competitive with the industry, but I guess the benefits make up for something. There are people who coast, but for some others, there is no work-life balance. GD treats us like assembly line workers, and we are not acquiring new skills as a result. This is detrimental to our careers and health. I know for a fact that a few people in our team are actively looking for other jobs because they don't have time for their families. Senior execs like to brag about our culture and that just shows how out of touch they are. People have given up voicing their concerns because they know nothing will change. If you attend any of the larger team calls, you won't hear any questions. The next large team call is on 10/16, and I will edit this review if positive changes are announced.

Pros

There was once a great company named Ultimate Software, it was destroyed by a hostile takeover from H&F, a private equity firm, and a merger with Kronos to become UKG. There are very few Pros since that time.

Cons

When this company was Ultimate Software, prior to the takeover from H&F and the merger with Kronos, it was a world class company with top shelf people. The company Motto was "People First" and they truly lived by that motto, never a layoff, great working environment and stealer benefits. Since the takeover and subsequent merger with Kronos, to become UKG this company has taken a path of "Money First", which is understandable given the greedy nature of Private Equity Firms like H&F. They have systematically closed most of the offices across the US and have been expanding their footprint in Noida India, for obvious reasons. The leadership that has been put in place by H&F is clearly focused on IPO. And we all know what that means, clean up the books and make the company look as good on paper as possible. Can you say "Lipstick on a Pig". This was once a great company when it was run by Scott and Viv but now it has gone the way of the Private Equity management and is heading for a great fall.
