Pay is always on time. Departmental management is often hands-off but supportive of TAs.
Cons
Sometimes "hands-off" department means NO support/structure for TAs. Salary scale not always applied correctly for summer work. Department-level classroom size caps do not always accurately reflect class size regulations.
