Pros

Big company, stable employment, boring tasks, nice office locations. Only good benefit is pension plan.

Cons

Management is mentally still in the 90s, promising one thing, doing another. You can agree on some things, have it in writing but they can ignore it anyway. Benefits are below average, sad, and besides the pension plan, they are really bad. On the one hand, bank save on everything, starting with the awful coffee in the office and hiring people with no skills because they are cheaper. On the other hand, every quarter mgmt brag about record profits and another award for the bank, where ordinary employees cannot even drink black tea in the office unless they buy it themselves.

Pros

Good Learning opportunities, Tech savvy compared to other banking / fintech companies

Cons

Too much offshore, low cost resource strategies, Gap between functional & IT resources, CS merger favored many UBS employees and massive layoffs post UBS - CS merger. Hardly any bonus or pay increments.
