Pros
They paid me well while while I obtained my licenses.
Cons
The NFA program essentially sets it's participants up for failure. The goal of this program is to get successful business people to bring in their contacts, networks and their assets. Then the NFAs are soon afterwards let go. Upon being hired, licensed and turned loose to bring in assets I was told by several old timers that NFAs were setup for failure. I was not concerned as I felt that I could hit all of the milestones necessary. Although I did meet all of the milestones set I was eventually "let go" as part of their global restructuring. Essentially the NFA program is set up as a way for the firm to gather assets for it's tenured brokers. Management was inept and many layers deep. Operations was a total joke. As an NFA the only way I could get help on a client case was if I "partnered" with an established broker then do 100% of the work and get 50% of the pay.
