Pros

Flexible work schedule People don't kill themselves with work, slow motion operation. Decent worker bees wanting to do good work and trying to do the right things.

Cons

Too much managing up the ladder Constant mgmt reorganization, most projects could be labeled "mgmt recycling programs" Poor communication to staff Annual employee survey (Pulse) results get worse every year. They resort to begging people to complete them. Employee morale at all time low. All the good people have left. Incompetent upper managers: Peter Principle exemplified. Annual job reviews are a joke. Forced rankings: you are forced to put people in the "needs improvement" category regardless of whether they deserve it. Those poor souls get $0 bonus, $0 raises and or fired. Project planning/funding process is hopelessly broken. Over outsourced, 70+% of IT is gone and along with them is all their knowledge of how things get done. The result is that everything takes forever to get done. Constant media attention on illegal activities and huge fines, never ending. Your friends will say: "why do you still work there?" Benefit plans get worse every year, less benefits for more money. Less contribution to employee retirement accounts. Reduction in severance packages, indicative of headcount reduction plans. Moving jobs to "low cost" areas (Nashville) comes with 20% salary decrease and no re-location expense help.

Pros

I learned a lot while interning here. The staff took time to get to know me. They each introduced me to different aspects of the business and their specific role,s which gave me great exposure to the business. They were flexible on hours and understanding when I had a family emergency in a way other employers have not been or did not need to.

Cons

Not a low-effort position, and could get overwhelming if you were not prepared.

Pros

Very minimal pros- you are working in a call center under managers with very little experience.

Cons

Managers are useless. The greater organization refers to the Wealth Advice Center as the “WAC”… yes…. wack. It has a double meaning and the advisors on the ultra high net worth teams are known to make fun of this call center. Very unserious role.
