Pros

Decent salary overall even if you have to work 70 hours or more per week to achieve it. Lots of opportunities for hard workers that are naïve to the fact they will be used to benefit the company.

Cons

Management does not care if you have a life outside of work because they think TruAssets is all that matters...this being said as they have plans for their weekends while you work extra hours to keep things in order. Very little help when problems arise and even if management is aware of it it becomes your problem to deal with and resolve. Promises that are okayed by management are never honored and it makes you look like a liar to the contractors in the field. As stated previously all managers are buddies and if one has a hidden agenda against you they will set you up for failure and/or replacement.

Thank you for writing this and making us aware of some of the struggles you encountered while working for TruAssets. Work-life balance is something that can be very hard to achieve in this deadline-driven industry, especially when the company was in start-up stages, and it is in fact something that the majority of the management team struggles with as well. Sometimes it can seem as though there is always something left on your to do list that may go unfinished until the next day. This can be caused by many factors that can include not properly managing time in the office, lack of delegation at times, and or not reaching out to peers or management for assistance when dealing with an unbalanced workload. To your point, there are many opportunities for growth within the company and many of those in leadership roles have gotten there by sacrificing time when maybe they would have preferred to be at home. The management team works very closely together to achieve company goals and objectives which supersede any perceived personal friendships by far.

Pros

Phone App for taking pictures was ok. Took a little bit to figure out. Our State Coordinator was new but very helpful, when we had concerns.

Cons

After about 3 months with the measly pay, and the money I stuck into it. I broke even. There was never any work in the counties we registered with them. Just to make money we had to drive way out of the area just to make $25 on grass cuts. Subtract gas for my truck, and the lawnmower I was making less than minimum wage. One house I went to the basement ceiling was dripping with water from moisture. Told SC that they needed a dehumidifier installed as soon as possible. Nobody ever got back to me. Another house we had to do house cleaning for $20, and out of that you have to buy air fresheners, sweep, mop, vacuum, and de cobweb. There were animal holes in the upstairs bedrooms with feces all over the carpet. The third house we did that day I found a half eaten rat on the living room floor. Thus made my mind that the $20 per cleaning is WAY not worth it. In my mind this Company does not care about the homes they are contracted to keep up. And pay there workers pennies to do the work. Now I sit with a bag full of locks I have NO use for.

Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback about your experience as a vendor. I am very sorry to hear about the lack of work in the area you were recruited in. Unfortunately, volume of work is dictated by how much work we receive from clients in that area and can be a bit hard to predict. We have had some similar feedback about our pricing and have made a few key changes on certain work order types by client where it made sense. I really wish things had worked out differently as I hear there are some areas where we really need vendors where the work supports it. Please feel free to reach back out to us to see if there has been an change in the volume in your area as i do agree that vendors and employees are the heartbeat of the company. Communication has also improved. There is always someone in the office to take calls during office hours and we have an afterhours phone number as well.
