Pros

The CEO is great! She is extremely knowledgeable, she governs with honor, she is down to earth, and very kind. Friendly team/staf Most staff in the clinic setting are Union, so they feel supported and that they have a voice. They do thoughtful things for their staff throughout the year. There is NO push for production (# of encounters per day) that could compromise patient care. Great benefits package-the best I’ve seen It’s not run like a mafia!!! My experience in other FQHCs is that if you are “friends” with admin or are members of their family, behaviors go unchecked and people are allowed to do whatever they want at the cost of good patient care and employee mental and physical health. One thing with the current CEO is she doesn’t tolerate it at all! If she finds out that people are unethical or aren’t supporting our mission, she directly addresses it without hesitation. She truly loves this organization, its patients and its staff. Kristy Needham’s leadership is unmatched.

Pros

Benefits, hours and patient care

Cons

Based on my experience, management and leadership have been inconsistent and often reactive, with priorities shifting frequently and communication lacking clarity. Senior leadership felt intimidating at times, creating an environment where people were hesitant to speak up. Under the new leadership, staff were not consistently treated with respect or professionalism. The culture felt cliquish and political, with an “in-group vs. out-group” dynamic that made it difficult to raise concerns without fear of backlash. Career growth also seemed limited—there did not appear to be a clear, transparent path for advancement—which contributed to low morale and turnover. There are hardworking people here, but the overall environment I experienced was stressful and not well supported. While the organization speaks about caring for people and promoting its mission and values, my experience did not consistently reflect that under the current leadership.
