Passion for the work to support Foster Children, opportunity to learn about equity work, good pay.
Cons
1. People get hired for one role and then executives switch the role. Bait and switch happened numerous times while I was there. 2. HR is the scapegoat for everything that goes sideways, yet has no authority to make any changes. 3. Executives like to use cancel culture in lieu of having direct conversations. 4. Executives are erratic and make decisions before thinking things through. 5. Want professional development? HA! Think again. 6. Meetings will be from dawn till dusk. Don't want to work that much? Well, an executive will make a condescending comment about working harder for the youth. 7. Want clarity? This is not the place to work.
