Pros

Transpharmation has some really great employees that make the work environment better. Management has *started* to appreciate the staff more but that has fallen flat. My supervisor was great, but not even one is as lucky.

Cons

There is a huge disconnect between research technicians and management. The pay is incredibly low and regardless of what degree you have (Masters, PhD) you get paid the same poor wages. There is an issue with chronic understaffing and they continue to cut budgets so there is no money to hire more people. And to be fair, most people don’t want to work for barely above minimum wage when they are overqualified. Management tells you there is tons of opportunity for growth but that is far from true, especially if you are an immigrant. Immigrants with PhDs are getting paid the same as those with undergraduate degrees and do not get promotions (I am not an immigrant). Higher ups in the company sit in the office and talk about how dumb the technicians are when we are the ones running the company.

Pros

Great management and a fantastic work environment with friendly colleagues. I've also appreciated the opportunities for growth and professional development within the company.

Cons

Remote location, difficult to commute during winter.
