Pros

As a LAE/LAET you LEARN logistics. The role begins learning the business through a hands-on approach of supporting the account of a larger broker in the office. Through this hands-on learning approach, online modules, in person training classes, and virtual meetings, you are able to master all aspects of the business before you begin to sell. Once you hit week 12, you are cleared to start building your own book of business. There is a lot of opportunity if you choose to take it. If you want to succeed here, and you can, you have to be thick skinned and have great work ethic. It is a job where you cannot get too comfortable and stay on your toes. You are always selling day in and out. Leadership is the best and will help support you in any way you need.

Cons

This job, once you are cleared to sell is 365 24/7. If a customer calls you at 3 am with a freight emergency, it is your responsibility to answer and best support them. The trucking world does not stop, and you may be required to work over holidays, at home, on vacations, but it is a part of the job. In order to make money in logistics you do always have to be working. You are required to work every other Saturday 8-12 when you are in training and then it moves to once a month. If something comes up last minute, it is not difficult to get your shift covered with someone else in the office.

Pros

Benefits, Life changing opportunity, Great support staff. 40 years of sales experience between the 3 managers on the sales floor, high end class and culture.

Cons

This is not your average joe position. If you plan to be mediocre then this is not the place for you.

Pros

Frat House environment if that's what you're into.

Cons

Where do I even start.... My first week there the sales manager, whose account I was supposed to look over and be trained by, was gone for the whole week. The desk spot they put me at was next to this JBL party box, making it virtually impossible to communicate over the phone. When you're in the training phase you literally do all the work for the account manager, then you're expected to make cold calls to people that want no part in TQL. When you do get someone on the phone and make a sale, you wont be seeing any of that money. They have a commission draw set up where you have to be making a certain amount of revenue before you can make commission- thus leaving you to the measly 43k salary. These recruiters and managers SELL you a false dream, the turnover rate there is astronomical for a reason. They will hire anyone that'll learn the system, use them for labor for 6 months, cut them when they don't meet the ridiculous KPI metrics. To be actually successful here you either have to work near 60+ hours a week for YEARS waking at 4am to "snipe" accounts that have been released due to inactivity, or be handed an account by a retiring SR level manager. RUN from this company!
