Pros

Enterprise-scale cloud environment; nice headquarters

Cons

Soulless organization with a clueless, rudderless IT leadership. Depending on where you are in your IT career, I would suggest two things. If you're anything beyond a mid-level engineer, I would run for the hills. This place has nothing for you except below-average pay and ignorant mid-management. If you're new to your career and need experience in an enterprise environment, then I would say come, spend a year, then leave. Don't even consider making this a career home. Many of the "reviews" are incredibly generic because they are fake or forced. The IT leadership is short-sighted and not particularly bright which means they never learn from their mistakes. Their toxic culture ensures everyone will burn out eventually. If you aren't a broker/sales, then you're treated like a second-class citizen although IT provides all the tools and infrastructure that is required by sales. In my 5 years with the company, I watched IT leadership allow engineers with 10+ years at TQL and 20-30 years in the industry walk out the door because leadership was unwilling to change. Example: It's 2025, and app development teams are forced to spend 1-2 hours 2-3x per week on late night calls to deploy software. Ridiculous considering how many cloud tools are available. There is no innovation or improvement of processes; it's simply a daily beating to tow the line. The company's 401k match is poor, and it takes 7 years to fully vest. Find me another company that has that long of a vesting period. Leadership is offered LTI (long-term investment), which is similar to private stock with a price determined by a 3rd party. LTI takes 4 years to vest (each occurrence), and it's virtually worthless right now. Although this company prints money (profit), the LTI only increases with GROWTH. That's right. Only if the company makes more money, which people in IT have no control over, is the LTI pointless. Don't fall for its allure. If you're unlucky enough to need a job here, go for a higher base pay. Hiring local - TQL rarely hires local IT engineers. Half of all new hires are foreigners either on an H1B or through TaTa. It's a joke how bad the nepotism is regarding this issue. WFH - Yes, 5 times per YEAR with advance notice. Raises are 1-2% if you even get one. Bonuses are paid out, but based on unattainable metrics, so it's never 100% of your bonus Office politics are everywhere. Thin-skinned IT mid-level managers who constantly talk down to people but can't handle the same in return. If you're reading this and you care about your family, your health, and your sanity, don't even think about it.

Pros

TQL is an incredibly exciting and fast paced work environment where any employee who wants to come in and work hard can earn solid income for themselves and their family as long as they are willing to put in the hours to improve themselves and their skills and stay committed to ensuring their own success. In-office and remote management is very supportive of you and your growth at the company as well as learning skills to assist you in daily life outside of work. The HR team at TQL is top notch and the benefits provided by TQL are great as well.

Cons

Long hours and working before and after the typical 8-5 can be and is normally required in some regard at TQL. The clients that you will end up working with will rely on you to service them at all hours of the day and if you cannot commit to being available 24/7 when needed from your clients then a job at TQL may not be for you. All of this is part of what will lead to you being successful at TQL and earning a living that you desire and the hard work will pay off in the end as you grow relationships and trust with your clients.
