Pros

Casual dress code, flexible business hours (no overtime required), complimentary basic breakfast and snack items

Cons

CEO micromanages every important aspect of the company from strategy to staff but has no interest in execution of his own idea. The worst part is that the CEO will never give enough time for development of his idea to be executed. His strategy changes quarterly and the rest of the company has to drop everything to follow him into the abyss. The rest of the management are a bunch of "YES" people who will always agree with the CEO's vision even if they don't truly believe it. The tech company was founded in the 90s and unfortunately still stuck in the 90s. They want to lure big enterprise accounts without the ability to ever deliver. As a matter of fact, they have never delivered to their clients. Most long time employees will believe all of the company's lies. No one's expertize of changing the business with sound strategies or execution process is valued or wanted. It's either the CEO's way or no way. The core technology platform needs to be scrapped and built from the ground up. The CEO has no clue of tech but wants to drive the development. No real talent should come even 10 ft of this company. Your talents and skills will be a waste. There is no room for development. You can spend 10+ years in this company and be a good soldier only to be awarded by being let go without dignity or recognition.

Pros

There are pros and cons with every job. No person, job or work environment is ever perfect. You make the most of what is provided and improve on that. Anyone that thinks a "perfect" job or work environment exists, needs to get their head out of the clouds. If your job isn't what you envision or works out, you simply move on. That's life! People reading the reviews below need to take into consideration whether that employee was fired for not performing their duties or whether there is some hidden agenda on the ex-employee's part. How often do you see good reviews on glassdoor? It's always someone that's bitter or has a hidden agenda that finds the time to complete a review. I'm certain these ex-employees weren't this bitter when they were enjoying the luxuries of "work from home" or "collecting their pay cheques" or "traveling and dining at the company's expense" or "the stocked kitchen that could provide a meal if you forgot to bring lunch or breakfast" or "the flexible work environment". I'm a former employee, but unlike the reviews below, I'm not bitter. I'm extremely grateful for the knowledge and experience I've gained while working at Ticoon, and for the paths that I've crossed while working there.

Cons

Ticoon needs to apply a strict filter when hiring employees moving forward. They like to give everyone a chance, but not everyone should be given a chance.

Pros

More than fair compensation, based on experience and individual contribution to corporate goals. CEO is highly involved in day-to-day ops, contributing to a real startup vibe. Willing to take chances on employees suggestions for improvements to the application and processes, counterbalanced with demands for involvement and loyalty (which is amply rewarded). Each day brings new challenges so work doesn't feel stagnant.

Cons

Scope of work is large (but not unmanageable), can occasionally lead to long hours. If you're looking for a 9-5 and want to check-in/check-out, this is not the place for you.
