Pros

On the surface, Ticketmaster presents itself as an exciting and dynamic company. The brand recognition is strong, and the industry is appealing if you’re passionate about music and live events.

Cons

Unfortunately, my experience working at Ticketmaster was extremely disheartening. Despite consistent glowing feedback from managers, colleagues, and clients, my role was offshored without warning and I was made redundant. Meanwhile, underperforming staff with excessive sick leave were retained simply due to tenure, regardless of their work ethic or contribution. There is a troubling culture of favoritism, with long-standing employees often behaving inappropriately without consequence, including making offensive remarks that go unchecked. Management - particularly at the senior level - demonstrated toxic behaviours, including sexism and racism behind closed doors, which created a psychologically unsafe environment. To make matters worse, when I left, IT failed to return my personal equipment and the company refused to take responsibility, ignoring my repeated attempts to recover my property. The lack of accountability and basic professionalism was astounding.

Pros

Benefits were great across the board. Any kind of help and support you'd need, they probably had it.

Cons

I was laid off for no reason after more than five years because they're "flattening layers, consolidating ownership, changing how teams are structured and ensuring that we put more energy behind specific initiatives." Or at least, that's what Saumil Mehta said. We've had record profits YOY, and quarterly earnings show nothing but growth. But perhaps that's because they keep firing people before giving them bonuses. Absolutely disgusting behavior from a company, and unfortunately, everyone saw the handwriting on the wall as soon as Saumil Mehta stepped in. Ticketmaster used to prioritize employees AND its users. Now all they see are dollar signs, and to be quite frank, I'm glad to be rid of them.
