Pros

Expertise in high volumes customer service environments. Learn how to ship and mail items. You get to meet some cool people and make connections.

Cons

Many people come in and project their anger and insecurities on us. Constantly being yelled at or told to smile by random customers. Amazon returns are very annoying and teaching people how to return things is even more annoying. People lie about shipping illegal things and you can get in serious trouble for other people lying about their stuff. It will make you never want to work customer service again. No benefits either. Supplies are never in stock and the packing charges are outrageous.

Pros

Due to understaffing, certain staff gets more hours. Decent enough pay compared to other companies, if you're patient enough (several years later) you can finally move up. You'll do decently if you're put under a decent manager.

Cons

Always understaffed and managers say we are "overstaffed", managers can influence raises to some degree by what they say and their employee biases, etc.
