Pros

1. To some extent, there is freedom to express your opinion and managers don't micromanage in this company. 2. Fast paced start up type environment 3. Get exposure to all the latest tools and technology 4. The culture is a bit fun/ not as uptight as tech companies

Cons

1. If certain leaders have decided they don't like you, your days are counted. This is true for fellow leaders as well. 2. I have seen way too many fallouts between leaders. 0% of the C suite has left the company in good terms. 3. If your findings don't align with the leadership gut feeling, your commentary will be brushed off no matter how true or impactful it is 4. Every day is a fire drill which leads up to no action. Just hurry up and wait 5. Middle managers will massage their metrics and outright lie about it before it reaches to C suite. 6. The company doesn't have the budget or the will to spend into hiring the top bay area talent. Always goes for the cheap bargain 7. Every time a business issue is discovered - such as shipping, authentication, all leaders run towards it, look at all the data, understand the problem in depth BUT never actually fix it.

Pros

Pay and commission can be good, but the structure is unnecessarily convoluted and not as generous as it seems, and you will have no work/life balance if you want to actually make consistently high commission. If you have a true passion for luxury and fashion, you do get a lot of opportunities to handle and interact with special/rare items, and depending on store location you can meet a lot of interesting industry people and celebrities, especially during Fashion Weeks

Cons

Poor and unsupportive management with extremely unrealistic demands and expectations; you will get virtually no training, but are immediately expected to know how to do everything. The overall company culture is just unpleasant and very cliquey, and there's constant employee turnover. The online customer service system is terrible, so you will frequently have to handle customer issues that have nothing to do with you/your sales.
