Pros

It helps boost your resume and get your foot in the door, that's it. I did learn a lot about fashion. And once in a while they throw in some free lunches. I guess it's also nice to have free tampons in the bathroom for ladies, I'll give them that. Benefits aren't the worst, but not that great either.

Cons

Pretty much everything else. Management is trash, there's low-key racism going on within the higher ups. Good old nepotism, scandal and favoritism runs like blood within this company's veins. As for the CEO, I've really grown to despise over the years once she started showing her true colors. This company's work culture is so toxic and they do not give a single darn* about their employee's wellbeing, we're just numbers and robots to them (trying to keep my language PG-13). You hardly get any vacation or breaks. This place will suck the life out of you and give you horrible mental breakdowns, I do not recommend you working here unless you have to.

Pros

Pay and commission can be good, but the structure is unnecessarily convoluted and not as generous as it seems, and you will have no work/life balance if you want to actually make consistently high commission. If you have a true passion for luxury and fashion, you do get a lot of opportunities to handle and interact with special/rare items, and depending on store location you can meet a lot of interesting industry people and celebrities, especially during Fashion Weeks

Cons

Poor and unsupportive management with extremely unrealistic demands and expectations; you will get virtually no training, but are immediately expected to know how to do everything. The overall company culture is just unpleasant and very cliquey, and there's constant employee turnover. The online customer service system is terrible, so you will frequently have to handle customer issues that have nothing to do with you/your sales.
