Pros

It’s a job. Read the cons.

Cons

I usually check Glassdoor for reviews to better understand how a company operates and functions from an insiders perspective. Although I didn’t listen to the negative feedback of current and past employees, I decided to see it and experience it myself. I’ve been in this company for quite some time and fully observed the anatomy of the work place. And let me tell you... I should’ve listened to the negative reviews. They are spot on. I don’t want to repeat anything else that has been said here. But let me absolutely 100% confirm that they are begging/paying people to review this company as if it is a “5 star wonderland.” It is not. You can not trust anyone in this company even the people that call themselves “Human Resources” if you have any type of troubling concern, they are not there to protect you (the employee) but protect management and save face. They are completely useless just like these FAKE 5 star reviews.

Pros

Pay and commission can be good, but the structure is unnecessarily convoluted and not as generous as it seems, and you will have no work/life balance if you want to actually make consistently high commission. If you have a true passion for luxury and fashion, you do get a lot of opportunities to handle and interact with special/rare items, and depending on store location you can meet a lot of interesting industry people and celebrities, especially during Fashion Weeks

Cons

Poor and unsupportive management with extremely unrealistic demands and expectations; you will get virtually no training, but are immediately expected to know how to do everything. The overall company culture is just unpleasant and very cliquey, and there's constant employee turnover. The online customer service system is terrible, so you will frequently have to handle customer issues that have nothing to do with you/your sales.
