Pros

-good coworkers -free bagels/catered lunch from local restaurants -okay benefits

Cons

Oh where to begin... -Policies and SOPs are changing frequently, often attributed to “still being a young start up...” -Management only tows the line for Senior Management/Directors, will not be your advocate and will tell you to speak to HR if you have an issue as if HR will do something -Will not give you a raise based on increase work load -The office is freezing year round and dismal. No natural light execpt for in the directors’ offices and the break room where you get to spend your unpaid 30 min lunch or paid 10/15 that you have to clock in and out of -they do little “celebrations/thank you” events that mostly involve the cheapest catered food they can find instead of paying people more for all the hard work -they only care about quantity over quality -no room for growth -retail holiday schedule aka you only get Thanksgiving and Christmas off

Pros

Pay and commission can be good, but the structure is unnecessarily convoluted and not as generous as it seems, and you will have no work/life balance if you want to actually make consistently high commission. If you have a true passion for luxury and fashion, you do get a lot of opportunities to handle and interact with special/rare items, and depending on store location you can meet a lot of interesting industry people and celebrities, especially during Fashion Weeks

Cons

Poor and unsupportive management with extremely unrealistic demands and expectations; you will get virtually no training, but are immediately expected to know how to do everything. The overall company culture is just unpleasant and very cliquey, and there's constant employee turnover. The online customer service system is terrible, so you will frequently have to handle customer issues that have nothing to do with you/your sales.
