Pros

Learn a TON about the luxury fashion market. Great supervisors wanting to set you up for success. Easy to move up. Free bagels on Fridays.

Cons

Little warning about overtime hours. Take advantage of your time and will not appreciate you for it. Bad management who doesn't know how to write copy or what it takes to write successful copy, therefore they do not know ways in which to support their team. Only set the people who are rapidly fast up for success. Only care about NUMBERS NUMBERS NUMBERS. Do not care if the copy is horrible as long as you make your goal. Goals are unreasonable and out of reach for some individuals. Not all people are the same!!! Some need smaller goals than others because they actually like to take time to properly sku and price an item. No room for error taken into account when given goals...makes the days miserable. FREEZING WAREHOUSE! Everyone needs personal space heaters just to make it through the day. A shuttle is provided but horribly inconvenient.

Pros

Pay and commission can be good, but the structure is unnecessarily convoluted and not as generous as it seems, and you will have no work/life balance if you want to actually make consistently high commission. If you have a true passion for luxury and fashion, you do get a lot of opportunities to handle and interact with special/rare items, and depending on store location you can meet a lot of interesting industry people and celebrities, especially during Fashion Weeks

Cons

Poor and unsupportive management with extremely unrealistic demands and expectations; you will get virtually no training, but are immediately expected to know how to do everything. The overall company culture is just unpleasant and very cliquey, and there's constant employee turnover. The online customer service system is terrible, so you will frequently have to handle customer issues that have nothing to do with you/your sales.
