Pros

The Knowledge academy is very BIG BROTHER environment to work in. There are few key people in the business who " brown nosers" the owners. it's contract of employment is ridiculous, with very harsh post term clauses. in a nutshell it says if you sign up to the work for TKA then you can't work in the same field or competitor for 1 year even if you decide to do a completely different job. the standard hours of work are 8am to 6pm (50 hours week) for a 16K salary (sales job/admin) this is where 80% of the staff come in on.

Cons

it is very stressful environment, the CEO is a complete tantrum man with no regards for language or respect for staff, lots of shouting and swearing goes on. also I don't know if you notice as soon as a bad review is posted about TKA, lots of good one are a posted to move the bad review out of sight. recent articles in the press have highlighted the true way this company operates. Employees are not allowed to socialise with ex-employees even if they were friend before they joined TKA. you are constantly monitored. if you hear the management speaking in there own language (Punjabi), that's the que they are talking about the staff. it is very unethical company to work for, where profits come before customers and staff

Pros

The only positive thing I can mention is that the head trainer Peter Thomson is a stand-up guy who knows what he's doing. I don't know how TKA keeps him. He's better quality than to work for them.

Cons

The Knowledge Academy TKA is the worst I've seen in 30 years in IT I was contacted to train for The Knowledge Academy (TKA). I conducted TOGAF certification level one and two classes in Memphis May 1-4. TKA is by far the worst company I have ever been involved with in my entire 30 year+ career. I was (under)paid $300 a day for teaching a class they were charging $5000 per delegate to attend. They arranged the hotel (not allowed to do it myself). It was a ghetto hotel, in the midst of abandon buildings with a drug dealer stationed out front. The floors were sticky to walk on and infested with Cockroaches. The coordinators - all from India - couldn't write emails in discernable English and were totally lacking in any customer service etiquette. If you're a Trainer - BEWARE!. If you're a potential delegate! There are better cheaper (half the price) certification mills in abundance. They are horrible. D- or F score. Every possible horrible thing they do. Over Charge delegates. Under Pay trainers. Horrible customer service. Coordinators in India don't know how to craft a whole sentence or even spell it right. They will not pay you promptly.
