Pros

-Investment into your training, there are several courses held at home office you are required to attend. Most build off of each other. You also are required to graduate from sales and maintenance, I liked this as it gives you an accurate scope on the positions and you can learn from the bottom up by having first hand experience. This is also nice as you learn timeframes and expectations, learning how to hold own team accountable. -The people, specifically my peers, very supportive and were open to answering questions! -Nice job with recognition, winner circle cards to recognize those for accomplishments and shout outs!

Cons

I’m not usually one to write a review however I felt compelled to after my experience with The Connor Group. Hopefully, my feedback can spare someone from going through the same experience. Like most PCM’s that join the organization, I came from a long retail background. That being said, I was not opposed to putting in the hours. However, they sell you on “non-retail hours” when in reality it’s 10x worse! -No personal work/life balance. Most days, 9-11 hour days. Monday-Saturday work week. Standard PCM schedule, work one Saturday per month however that was not my experience. -Extremely high turnover, terminations are very frequent. A big turn off and red flag for me was when people were terminated, higher ups would almost make a mockery of it. In my time there, 8 individuals off the top of my head I can think of that were terminated on the spot. -Don’t live by own company values, one being “do the right thing”, this I don’t feel like was upheld at the various properties I was at. More times than not, the right thing was not done when it came to residents and or employees.

Thank you for your feedback. Some of your points are very valid. In fact, we recent dove into the issue that we are burning too many good people out due to hours. Based on those findings we are currently in process of working through options to reduce our managers hours to the 48 we want it to be around. I expect this to be implemented in the next 30 to 90 days. My apologies you were not clearly communicated to what "Non-retail" hours mean as well. I wish you much success in your future!

Pros

Fast-paced environment, strong compensation opportunities, talented teams, and a culture that rewards performance. If you are ambitious, competitive, and always want more, this could be the place for you.

Cons

The environment is demanding and not suited for everyone. Expectations are high, feedback is direct, and performance is closely measured. Employees who thrive on accountability, competition, and results will likely do well; those seeking a more traditional or less performance-driven workplace may find it is not the right fit.

We appreciate your feedback. We are the right place for ambitious, competitive associates who want to grow and be challenged. We’re proud to offer strong compensation opportunities and a culture that recognizes and rewards results. You’re right that our environment is demanding and not for everyone. We also appreciate your note around consistency and communication as we continue to grow!
