Pros

Can work from home - no office time needed

Cons

They will micromanage you and the ways they do it remotely are possibly even worse than in person. They never offer a best price for insurance renewal (surprise surprise) and you are chastised and penalised for offering a better price to keep a customer, and it’s frankly embarrassing and deeply upsetting when a little old lady is crying on the other end of the phone because she can’t afford heating but can’t give up her car and you could save her £100’s on her insurance but because she doesn’t know about shopping around or to ask for a better price you can’t. Despicable. It wears down on your mental health if you have any empathy for humankind at all.

Pros

I joined the AA's content team in 2017 to assist with their digital transformation project and found it to be a supportive, enthusiastic and generally fun environment to work in.

Cons

Shareholders could be tricky to work with but with time, I was able to navigate it all and get stuff done.

Pros

There's a period of real change happening currently, coupled with a well loved brand which makes it an exciting business to be part of if you want to make a difference.

Cons

There's lots going on, so the pace is sometimes quite challenging.
