Just Don't Do it - Corporate Office Thanksgiving Point Employee Review

Pros

Access to all venues and a handful of colleagues who genuinely care about the mission—their dedication is genuinely inspiring!

Cons

Culture is extremely heavy and competitive. The corporate office feels more like a high school than a professional workplace, with constant gossip, backtalk, and tattling. The CEO is overly involved in daily operations and frequently overrides team decisions, creating a sense of control and distrust. It became a running joke that there were cameras and microphones in every office, but by the time I left, that didn’t feel far from reality. The environment as a whole feels corrupt, tense, and unsupportive. I’ve never seen so many grown adults cry at work—or yell and scream at each other.

Pros

- Active job - Variety - Meet great people - Great vibes - Free food on shift usually - Discounts - Free admission to all venues (plus household or a few guests)

Cons

- Nepotism - Lack of training - They will do everything they can to keep (or bring back) their managers, even if they are unkind to the point of causing problems, or don't know what they're doing, just because they've been with the company a long time. - They take advantage of people who are reliable, and then don't support them. Example: They had a great manager that they had "temporarily" run an extra restaurant for almost 2 years after the other manager had been fired for sexual harassment. When she finally quit, they brought back the manager that had been fired. Just one example.
