Pros

- Great learning and training atmosphere, get to learn from very experienced senior folks - Opportunity to mentor and be mentored in turn - Work and Health benefits are top notch and include rollover vacation - Company does its best to minimize job losses

Cons

- Poor middle management quality, managers act like feudal lords and silo themselves instead of working across divisions, rarely get penalized for bad business decisions, many of them do not understand basics of competitive analysis, how to retain employees meaningfully, how to build a mature and contented team - Recent years trending towards very short term focus instead of 3 - 5 year look ahead and encouraging innovation, technical ladder is a valuable asset with excellent people that is losing credibility as it has become a tool in the hands of managers to promote their favorites and retain squeaky employees - Frequent organization changes are a distraction to committed employees, the problem with having sales and marketing managers in charge is they tend to think of design resources as interchangeable and skill sets as transferable, these changes prevent engineers from having a long term deep focus that results in fantastic innovation - If one does not have management mentors and supporters, the workplace can appear stagnant for one's career; can become worse if one manages to speak one's mind and upsets middle management - Management too focused on tasks and end goals and does not listen to the staff on the ground very much; constantly experimenting due to lack of experience in org leadership and personal insecurities

Cons

Individuals that don’t contribute are not penalized. Occasional instability but not for hard working knowledgeable people.

Pros

Great learning opportunity, would recommend to new college grads Above average pay for the industry Very friendly colleagues who want to transfer knowledge WLB is team dependent

Cons

Team has reduced to 1/3 of original size in less than 2 years, but BU is mostly hiring in India Refuses to hire externally in US (only internal reqs) to fill roles lost from attrition, instead management dumps responsibilities on rest of team members (with no pay raise to match) Management refused to address 2025 layoffs, employee morale is very low Limited mobility and (capped) yearly performance bonus Restructured profit sharing to effectively be a pay cut (-7%) Unclear job description, constantly changing priorities, management is out of touch with employees Innovation isn't emphasized, new products are mostly IP re-use Employee burn-out common Definite decline in work culture since 2023 RSU vesting schedule is bad (4 years)
