Pros
Working at Milligram was great because of the Retail Assistants working in the stores, and everyone was very kind. The staff discount is pretty good at 50%, and the job is tedious but not very difficult. George St Manager was very good at taking care of the store.
Cons
Management doesn't give proper training, a lot of responsibilities depend on casual workers to take initiative, resulting in an unbalanced work load for different people. There needs to be better training and better delegation of tasks. Headquarters is also often scrimpy, not giving bonuses during Christmas, increasing budget to avoid giving bonuses to staff, etc. This also led to a lot of the competent staff quitting early. There is also not enough training given to equip workers to sell such high-end pens. It is up to the worker to train and educate themselves. They also replace products they used to buy and sell from other brands with copies that they produce themselves, that are much worse in quality and honestly quite embarrassing to explain to the customer sometimes. Doesn't take any feedback from the retail workers who are the ones experiencing problems constantly first-hand. Any Day Now and Studio Milligram products are generally very poorly designed as well. Although George St had very competent employees, for those that were transferred from other stores it was very clear that they were undertrained.
