Pros

You get a small pay check until you find better and great experience to take else where

Cons

The policies seem to be revised every month or every other month. There is never a discussion about what could help the employee be more productive or the employees concerns. No benefits, employee cannot turn down an assignment and must be willing to travel up to 30 miles and must be available between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm and possibly 7.Employees have to pay for uniform shirts and are expected to call in every day and wait for an assignment (that is not guaranteed) until 12 pm. This limits the employees ability to get work from another agency.Management freezes employees ability to be hired on permanently by a placement but doesn't guarantee full time work to the employees. There are way more benefits on the Employers side and very little benefits on the employees. Managing puts more and more demands on the employee but the employee gets very little in return.

Teachers R US Response
10y
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience with Teachers R’ Us Placement Agency. Our company’s mission is “To motivate, inspire, and assist teachers with rewarding job opportunities in the education industry.” With our mission in mind, we regret that you did not enjoy your time as an educator with our organization. Teachers R’ Us encourages an open door culture so that we can make sure that your needs are met. It is unfortunate that we did not hear your complaints during our monthly staff meetings where we ask for feedback on how we can better serve our educators or during your weekly calls with our placement department. We want and need your feedback to make sure our employees remain satisfied with the efforts of our organization. Our hiring requirements which are stated in our phone interview, in-person interview, and orientation is that our staff must be available to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:30am-6:30pm, remain available up until 12noon, and be willing to travel up to 20 miles. These requirements are in place to ensure our teachers work every day and earn full time hours. Our placement department works strategically with our clients to focus on all of our teachers getting an assignment every day. For the 2014-2015 school year, 96% of our staff were placed on an assignment daily. While we currently do not offer health insurance we do offer other benefits such as state approved online-training, professional development workshops, career path guidance, teacher of the week and year awards, and a CDA scholarship. We are committed to encouraging our staff to become better individuals and great educators through training and furthering their education. Throughout Metro Atlanta our hourly pay rates are also the highest in the private sector and top five in comparison with the public school sector. We pride ourselves on putting our teachers and their careers first. We want to thank you for your feedback and suggestions on ways to improve our organization.
