Pros

Tate is always looking to improve and grow as a company for its associates and customers. Over the years, they have invested in technology upgrades as well as management and organizational systems. Their work-life balance is excellent. You may have to put in a few extra hours, but they are flexible and understanding when something comes up at home. During COVID times, those who were able to complete their job from home were given the necessary tools. Those who were not were provided with PPE for the office or job site. Management has adapted to the work from a home model and understands that kids were also schooling from home. When requests were made, they provided us with the technology needed. Tate often does associate get-togethers, like BBQ and holiday luncheons, and yearly associate appreciation events that often include families. Sometimes, because of our business's nature, our service technicians cannot always join our larger events, so management often offers smaller events like fishing trips on alternates dates.

Cons

I believe all companies can improve on communication, and that includes Tate. I do believe they are taking the necessary steps to improve this. Tate often makes decisions on committee input. While this can be helpful in some cases, it can also slow the process and decision-making time. Some departments could use more associates.

Pros

Many employees value their positions and come to work ready to contribute and be the trusted partner that the customers demand.

Cons

1. Health Insurance is ridiculously high. I know this solely doesn't fall on the company, and political policy hasn't done any favors for the working class having access to affordable healthcare, but the expense to cover an entire family is outrageous. 2. HR Department is a complete joke. If he doesn't need anything from you, then your phone calls will go unanswered. You may receive a response to your e-mail requests, but don't count on that response email to contain any sort of constructive verbiage. Ironic behavior from someone in that role. Current and former employees alike generally all feel the same the same way.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate hearing from current and former associates, as it helps us reflect on what we’re doing well and where we can continue to improve. We want to respectfully clarify a couple points for readers. Our health insurance premiums have not increased in the past 3 years, and we consistently review our benefits to remain competitive and affordable for associates and their families. That said, we understand that healthcare costs overall can still feel burdensome, and we recognize this is an ongoing concern across many industries. Regarding HR, responsiveness and support are priorities for our organization. Our HR team is committed to assisting all employees, and we take concerns about communication seriously. If an associate feels they were not supported, we encourage them to reach out directly so the issue can be addressed and resolved. We are proud of our associates and the work they do to support our customers every day. We remain committed to listening, improving, and fostering an environment built on respect, transparency and collaboration.
