Pros

Had a great team of direct coworkers

Cons

Mass layoff after recent promises that the company was doing well and that layoffs would be avoided. (Tatari hired a lot Q2/Q3, then proceeded to do a mass layoff, seems like a waste of employee time to be hired and fired, as well as a waste of company resources to onboard only to do a mass layoff) No 401k match. Poor data quality (another review better addresses this) Return to office mandated. Extremely long multi round interview process (expect 6+ interviews, project+presentation, and tech interview). Company diversity is lacking (sad to see multiple of the few POC women I've worked with were laid off). Work life balance is decreasing: work is increasing due to missing team members. Seems many employees are looking to leave soon, as there is a lack of job security.

We believe this review was posted improperly and should be removed. It is also factually incorrect and an unfair characterization of our values and actions. While we always appreciate feedback, we must ask that you stick to the facts and refrain from making false claims. 1. Tatari recently made decisions to minimize financial impact due to the overall outlook in the economy, and we believe that we are better positioned for future growth. We have made every effort to help separate employees find new placements, including offering personal references from the executive team when appropriate. 2. We are passionate about the culture we have created, including winner of Inc. Magazine Best Workplace for 3 consecutive years, amongst many others. As a result of the recent decision, the leadership team has made an effort to reprioritize the company roadmap, and our People team have conducted check-ins with all employees to ensure that work-life balance remains intact for everyone. 3 We pride ourselves in our interview process. It is proven to attract strong candidates, and ensures that the candidates have the opportunity to shine in various aspects as well as having a clear understanding of the role. And just as important, to give candidates the chance to interview Tatari and ensure that it’s a mutual fit. 4. During 4Q22, the return to office policy was 2 days per month. Most employees have appreciated this and we believe that there is a balance we will achieve by allowing our employees flexibility while benefiting from in-person collaborative work and socialization with their colleagues. 5. Tatari prides itself on its data quality and data measurement capabilities. Our Data Science team is 30+ (and growing), and we are committed to investing additional resources to further improve our data quality. 6. Diversity is something we strongly value at Tatari, and something we are always looking to improve. At this time, we are faring better in some than others; as an example, our female leadership has improve from mid-20% to mid-30% albeit still slightly below the 40% average in the same industry, and on identified racial diversity, Tatari is in the high-20% versus industry average of low-20%. 7. Natural attrition in 2022 was ~1%--this is well below the industry during the Great Resignation. We are of course sorry that we had to let some people go.
