Pros

The team of people they have assembled is absolutely brilliant—genuinely talented and supportive people. The office snacks are a nice touch, with plenty of options, and the four-day workweek is a perk. There are also occasional socials and lunch treats, which help lighten the atmosphere.

Cons

A significant portion of the management team is made up of family and there is no human resources department. No proper channel to address serious concerns leaving the only option as directly with management. Throughout 2024 and 2025, a large number of employees were sacked without any transparency whilst several chose to leave. Meanwhile duties of former colleagues are quietly redistributed without recognition or appropriate compensation. Bullying from management is a pervasive concern which I have experienced and been witness to. The manner which management has operated towards me has been demeaning and unpleasant, creating an environment where voicing concerns feels risky due to the fear of retaliation. A shame to admit, but the reality is the workplace runs on a culture of fear and paranoia.

Pros

They are really great people to work with. They have always been really accommodating. Being an international company, they give me the freedom to work at home and when I travel.

Cons

Sometimes there's some tough pressure to serve our platform, especially from the community

Pros

TalkLife has some serious start up energy going on - you really feel integral to what the company is trying to achieve from the get go and feel like you can make a difference with your voice heard. The enthusiasm around peer to peer and supporting those in need is infectious and it is clear how much the CEO believes in the product. They go the extra mile to look after their own employees mental health - 4 day weeks, an employee assistance programme, regular checkins with management. There isn’t a moment I don’t feel supported. Team building trips and socials - in the last year, we've been on team building trips to Barcelona and the Cotswolds, had multiple team lunches and dinners, and had some pretty epic social events…need I say more! You also get kitted out with a serious laptop, and some pretty sweet merch!

Cons

Maybe the start-up vibe isn’t for you but if you put the effort in, this is a seriously rewarding place to work.
