More negative than positive working experience - People Team Taboola Employee Review

My time with the company was unsatisfied. I am sharing open thoughts, hoping it provides an insightful view for potential applicants. Management was nothing short of disappointing. I struggled to see eye to eye with the leadership team and my manager, whose leadership style was overbearing. The constant micromanagement made it almost impossible to work with autonomy. The company culture, supposedly innovative, was a show. In reality, it was traditional to the core and lacking in openness and creativity. The practices and hierarchical structure suffocated true collaboration and meaningful contributions from team members. One of the most unsatisfied area was the unchallenging nature of the work. Despite possessing skills and abilities I was eager to apply, I was made to perform mundane tasks that failed to use my true potential. Worse, the company lacks recognition for hard work and accomplishments. No matter how dedicated or successful an employee was, there was rarely any acknowledgment or appreciation especially for non-revenue generating team. This impact employee morale and affects loyalty to the company. In conclusion, my experience was full of frustration, disappointment and wasted potential. The toxic combination of an overbearing manager, a traditional culture and the absence of recognition made it an experience I would not wish for future employees.
