Pros

50% 401k match - rare in this space Sales Conferences all over the world Paid mobile phone with international package Up to par with kitchen food perks

Cons

- you get to sell click bait with unreasonable goals - they say they own all their inventory but the publishers can still put their Inquirer type articles in those widgets which turns off any reputable brand from wanting to spend with you - immature managers with only Taboola experience - the executive team - total nightmare and very out of touch with reality - being chained to your desk from 9-6pm, they will dock your vacation time for needing to arrive a tad later or leave early - horrific travel policy - expect to be pushed into taking red eyes and stay in the roach motel 20 miles from your meeting locations just to save $20

I appreciate your response, and I’m sorry that it seems you had a negative experience while working at Taboola. I hope while at Taboola you were able to share some of your concerns, we do take them seriously and try to do better based on our employee’s input. Many of the changes we implemented in the past 12 months were as a result of employee feedback. We pride ourselves on having created a company that hires smart and ambitious people that we grow, and promote from within. As the company grew very quickly, the flip side of that coin that for many people in the company, their current role is the biggest one they’ve ever done. We are excited by the opportunity for all of our managers, even those who are new to it but aware of the complexity in that path. As such, we launched a new training and development program this year and decided to focus on managers. We’ve conducted 5 cohorts so far this year, 3 focused on first-time managers and 2 on more experienced managers. We have 3 more sessions planned for this year. It is true, we do expect a lot from our employees, we believe in a culture of working hard, and remaining humble. As such, in many cases red-eye flights make most sense as we want to spend the day with our clients and not on the plane. Our most senior executive are held to the same standard. As for the Executive team, if you feel they are out of touch, please feel free to reach out to discuss. From Adam to the rest of the executive level, they are all available via email, g-chat and in person, and share the same open space everyone else does. You are correct in noting that we are not Google, or Facebook, we are Taboola. Definitely not clean of errors (though I doubt Google or Facebook are) but we do take pride in building a successful company that spans nearly 1,000 employees spread across many global offices. We are still growing and learning from mistakes when we make them. Thanks for giving us some things to think about.

Pros

1. Generous benefits, pay is not too bad for someone new to the industry. 2. beautiful working space full of food, snacks, drinks, etc 3. Basically, the corporate want to make sure you are comfortable at work and have all the required gadgets 4. CEO is ambitious, highly involved, and actively seeking out new directions for the company instead of sitting on the native market they already dominated

Cons

1. Your personal experiences are highly related to the team you are on. 2. Some managers, who I am not sure if this is a culture or langauge issues, often sound condescending. Whenever you ask questions, instead of providing instruction, they will use rhetorical questions and leave you even more confused. Some like to blow things out of proportion when they disagree with your work. 3. Sending work messages 24/7 for nonurgent issues every day, even if you say 'not expecting you to reply,' is still pressure, especially coming from your direct manager. 4. The company pays hella amount of attention to their online reviews. They have people rolling out a food cart to encourage people leave comments/reviews online. I see this as both good and bad. Good because the employer does care about employee feedback, at least seemingly. Bad because you only need to PR this hard when things are not doing good. 5. Mandatory days at the office are Mon, Tues, and Thursday instead of letting you choose the days. Make you feel like a kindergarten kid when you have such limited freedom for your own schedule. 6. Toxic behaviors are tolerated
