Where to even begin.....let's start off with the job itself. Although we are a "recruiting agency," we don't even have an ATS. We're expected to manually input all data into our so-called database. It's honestly a glorified notepad. Our website hasn't been working for over a year and the president doesn't care enough to fix it. We're also expected to make 30+ cold calls a day, but we don't have any sales software such as salesforce or CRM. We're expected to keep notes on Excel. After 6 months to a year, you will start to handle your own accounts which will make you hate yourself even more. You will be trained to force underpaid jobs to good candidates by either lying or making false promises. President doesn't care about being compliant to the law either, so you will be forced to deliberately break law and even human morals at times. The upper management is completely top-down and have no idea what they are doing. They pretend to be on your side with lies, but you will see right through it after a few months. They will act on emotions and however they feel that day. If they're in a bad mood, they will ban you from doing certain things, then forget about it the following week. Worse part of it all, this job will be your professional black hole. Only two people from TOP has ever found a good job after quitting. The reason is because no one will ever want to hire someone from a sketchy company. During your interview, they will ask you about your daily tasks, ATS, HRIS, and recruiting strategies. You will have little to no answer to this, unless you lie. This brings my point of personal black hole. When you want to leave this company, you will have to lie about what you do and what TOP does. All of the morals you think you had will be thrown out the window and you will absolutely hate yourself. Avoid at all costs!
