Pros

I graduated from USC in 2016 and joined TOKYOPOP afterward. Mr. Levy, the CEO, is not only a wise entrepreneur but also a warm, respectable person. He gives clear directions and respects his employees. Real talents can be appreciated and valued immediately.

Cons

I can't think of any real cons at the moment. I will add on if anything comes to mind to help job seekers to evaluate the company. During my two years working at TOKYOPOP, the overall experience is quite pleasant. It is very important that you work with friendly, professional people.

Pros

Location - you're right across the street from LACMA. You are doing legitimate work. There are many opportunities to network outside of the company.

Cons

They use interns to replace full-time paid employees and you must register to receive college credit in order to intern there. They overwork you to the point where they expect the company to come before school, you often have to seek guidance. There is a power struggle between the CEO, COO and President of the company and it causes a lot of tension in the workplace. While your internship is in a specific department, you shouldn't be surprised if you get pulled to do something else (i.e. going from marketing to graphic design).
