Pros

Management is flexible and cares about concerns and workloads. There's a lot of joking and a relaxed atmosphere to meetings to lessen pressure, and coworkers get along well enough that we choose to socialize with one another outside of work hours. Diversity is incredibly important in the hiring process, as well as in discussions and decision making for the future of the company. It's both refreshing and validating to see that upheld in every day projects and judgment calls. I've been given training, room to learn, and the opportunity to help grow the business in a way I never expected. It's hands down the most validating and fun place I've ever worked.

Cons

Small company, so everyone wears a lot of hats and has to hustle to cover tasks.

Pros

A lot of companies will say things like "We're a big, happy family!" and then not treat you accordingly. At TOKYOPOP, however, no one needed to say that to me before I seriously felt like a valued (and very happy) part of the company. We have frequent meetings to communicate, I get along better with my coworkers than any job I've ever held, and I feel extreme satisfaction and passion for the work I do here.

Cons

None immediately come to mind!
