TNTP is the most prestigious organization in the country working to ensure that poor and minority students get access to the most effective teachers. This organization is innovative and smart. TNTPers take tremendous pride in their work. They are a collegial group. Even top leadership is open and accessible and generous with their. This is an organization focused on human capital and they practice what they preach!
Cons
TNTP is not for everyone. People work on rigorous time lines and anywhere from a minimum of 50 hours to around 80 hours a week. You also work on multiple projects at a time and if you thought you were good in your previous role ... you will get to TNTP and know just how much better you can and need to get! TNTP is a place where people work hard and are continually pushed to get better.
