Pros
Working with the clients and technical professionals, you really get the chance to know them to better position yourself to help them in the long run. You dont need to hit your goals every week however to get promoted you need to hit it every quarter for two years straight. Also you get paid once a week which is very convenient.
Cons
Commission and base pay is very low, in fact other offices in the country in smaller metropolitans make more money then downtown Chicago, even though our cost of living is way higher. Its very cookie cutter and if you do not fit the mold you will not fit in the internal environment, and you will get pushed out. Your best friend will become your worst enemy. Also you feel like you constantly have to attend every happy hour or company outing which seem to happen at least twice a week. People eat, sleep, and breathe TEK which is fine for some however if you plan to have a life outside of work might not be a fit.
