      Pros

      The job environment is pretty decent. I get along with all my coworkers. The coworkers have a diverse background. I feel comfortable working there. I like working with the students. I like the interaction. I get more interaction with the students than I get from substitute teaching.

      Cons

      The pay is lousy. The cost of living in San Francisco is so high that it does not make any sense to work there. The SFUSD pay has risen faster than the pay at Sylvan. Moreover, they will not pay you more, if you have experience. BTW the Sylvan in San Francisco has gone franchise.

      Pros

      I enjoyed the work I did do. Working with the children and helping with teachers was fun and I got to socialize quite often with staff and students.

      Cons

      I was fired for missing one shift because my mother ended up in an accident. I did not get to explain myself for missing said shift and was told to think about my actions for 4 days before being let go. Extremely unprofessional.
