Pros
Get to travel all over the lower 48 states/ and explore around on your off time.. I'm a competitive body builder, and been training consistently for over 6 years, and NEVER miss a workout day. and i have enough time each day to put in a 3 or 4 hour workout, by buying my own weight set and over 400Ibs of weights i keep in my truck. But pay is good.
Cons
EXTREMELY bad home time if your over the road, driver. You can be gone for usually 2 to 4 months and only get 3 to 4 days off at home (On the bright side its good if you dont like your family.) I'm also a professional skydiver and BASE jumper, and try to average 100 jumps a season. since i started the job I've only been able to put in 2 jumps, for the whole season!!! To me that's unacceptable, as i love the sky more then i do the road, and had to quite becaise of it. Also do to a sickness i had, my left eye got infected, and i went blind in it. i couldnt work for over a month and half, without getting paid, since it technically wasn't a work related injury, even though i was driving on the truck when it happened.
