Poor Communication and Lack of Care for Employees - Sales Associate Style Encore Employee Review

There is no contract for working here, only a verbal hire basis. The hours requested are promised by the manager during the interview although, they will most definitely not keep their promise and provide you less than livable working hours. Managers are poor at one on one communication. There are consistently way too many people working at this location, resulting in poor working hours. Breaks are provided but discouraged and as a result; you will be sent home early if they feel that there is enough people working besides you. You will not be paid for the hours taken off from your shift and you will not be told ahead of time if your shift will go through hourly changes. There are days when there is no supervisor therefore, other sales associates are essentially the supervisors who are given authority to tell you what to do and to send you home when they feel best fit. There is not much care here for physically limited customers and employees, you will be seen as a nuisance for needing to sit down for a mere 2 minutes. Due to the locations limited capacity, there will be moments when there is no inventory to take care of and no customer's try-on rejects to put back on shelves. During these moments, you will be looked down upon for standing in one spot for more than a couple seconds. Working in cash is far more time consuming than working the floor therefore, you'll get berated a lot less while working cash. Senior sales associates will talk poorly about other sales associates and customers buys.
