Pros
Opportunities to work cross-functionally, has a gym, some cool perks with the Strive program.
Cons
You can really feel that the SLC location has grown too quickly and is filling seats rather than finding the right people. Previous to working for Styrker's Neurovascular location in SLC I had heard very positive reviews about working for the company with career growth, great management & positive culture. Most of these glowing reviews did not hold true for my experience. There is a ton of turnover, most teams are over-worked and there is a very toxic-feel within the culture. Some people are eager to climb to the top and it has lead to teammates throwing one-another under the bus and a lack of support from management. Because everyone is so busy in their roles trying to keep up with the growth and support understaffed teams, their is a major lack of support for on-boarding new employees. I went weeks/months feeling that I had no support from my team to get up to speed in my role and was instead criticized for not knowing how to do my job. I hope Stryker SLC finds it's rhythm and can start driving a more positive culture and work environment to slow the turnover and make employees feel more valued.
