Pros

Stock is Going up so I guess that’s a plus...

Cons

Where do you start? It’s a who you know business. Good luck getting into Stryker without knowing 4+ doctors or having been in healthcare for 10-15 years. The culture is shot. They claim best place to work but it is by far like that. I’ve never been a part of a more caniving lying group of individuals all about self preservation. Do not join this company and get out before they get caught up. Everyone’s on cloud 9 right now. Can’t go anywhere but down. The work life balance is non-existent. Bosses judge you for taking time off and criticize you if you’re not working 7 days a week focusing on making everything work while the “top reps” hang around and take 3-4 days off a week. Get a clue.

Pros

The individual contributors you work with are fantastic people and the products we work on are really interesting and have significant impacts on patient care.

Cons

Sports Medicine has unfortunately changed from a dynamic and collaborative group to one being led by toxic leadership. Rather than working together and trusting team members, they now have an in group and out group. If you’re in the in group, you can say anything you want without being questioned and be automatically trusted even when your track record says otherwise. If you’re in the out group and your message doesn’t align with what the leadership wants to hear, then you are automatically wrong and not to be trusted.
