There were previously many opportunities, but there are very few now, which in my view reflects strategic and organisational decisions at a group level.
Cons
Over the past year there has been significant staff turnover. To my knowledge, the majority of developers have left, leaving only a very small number to support the remaining products, along with the departure of senior leadership (Heads of Departments) across operations, streaming, and product management.
In December, a number of employees were made redundant and required to sign non-disclosure agreements as part of their exit. More recently, a Director of Product role was filled on a 12-month contract rather than a permanent basis, which has added to concerns around long-term stability. These changes are reflected in publicly available information, such as recent and former employee profiles on LinkedIn.
The strategic focus now appears to be heavily centred on AI initiatives, with comparatively limited attention given to established products such as CloudPay, CloudMatrix, Playback, and Fusion, or to broader operational fundamentals. During internal communications, leadership stated that the business is exploring a potential sale. It is unclear whether clients have been informed of these developments, which in my view adds to concerns around transparency. Based on these factors, my personal view is that the company is in a fragile position and my future job security is uncertain.
