Pros
Note that this job isn't probably a long-term job, because of the hours, but generally speaking I gained so much skills and experience with this job. I worked there 2 years. -I was apart of a district that won a lot of awards, so despite other reviews criticizing this, but honestly I didn't think coworkers and I did that much extra work. -Great Training in the Food Safety and Quality Control -Great job for someone who looking for an entry job in food science/food safety -Travel multiple locations, I probably traveled to ten different states in my two year stay -Make My own Schedule, so if you need to make have a doctors appointment, it's easy schedule around it, so you don't have to take PTO. -Great PTO, I don't remember exactly how many days, but think I took a four day vacation, and in the summer I -Company Car -Bonuses around $1k a quarter [this initially was only like $300-$500 a month, but luckily they did increase this while I was working there] -Only work one weekend a month -Clocking in the phone. They didn't really question your hours. They tell you clock in thirty miles from your home, but I clocked in the moment I left the house, and I didn't clock out until my shoes were off. -Not too many rude people. Despite horror stories, I didn't deal with any rude restaurants/managers/customers. I have bad anxiety an couldn't deal with customers.
Cons
-Travel and long hours: Even though I put this in pros, just be prepared to travel from 8am-8pm everyday (although I was pretty good at getting done early some Fridays}. You probably will assess 4-6 restaurants a day, the rest of the day, you are traveling. -Note they say you have travel one week each month on an assist trips to another state, but luckily when I left, it was maybe seven or eight months of the year. -pay MAKE SURE YOU ARGUE for at least a dollar more, you definitely deserve more than what they're offering. -Car get's taxed. The goverment taxes everything associate with that car, including gas they provided, the time, and it feels like sometimes the enjoyment of having company car. I ended owing on my taxes every year I worked there. -A lot of travel 40% of the time an 1 hour from my home 40% of the time an 1.5 hour from my home 10% within my own city 10% of the time would be outside my state -- a lot of time neighboring states, so I'd have to drive, not fly. I would say I flew 5X-6X a year
